Senate Human Resources Office

Legislative Role

The Human Resources Office provides services to Senate members and staff with regard to recruiting, hiring, onboarding, training, organizational development, performance management, coaching policy development, employee relations, leadership and benefits.

Functions and Services

  • Assists the Rules and Administration Personnel Subcommittee in regard to employment and compensation issues including policy development.
  • Administers Senate Performance Evaluation System.
  • Creates and manages job postings and oversees the hiring process.
  • Develops employee orientation and training programs.
  • Manages employee service awards.
  • Coordinates Public Employee Appreciation activities.
  • Coordinates Open Enrollment and Flu Shot Clinics.
  • Assists managers and supervisors with leave management.
