Present: Senator Jason Rarick - Chair, Senator Gene Dornink - Vice Chair, Senator Michael P. Goggin, Senator Jason Isaacson, Senator Jennifer A. McEwen

Absent: No Members Absent

Committee Chair, Senator Jason Rarick called the meeting to order at 8:49 a.m. a quorum was present.

S.F. 3881: Senator Rarick: Department of Labor and Industry and Minnesota Management and Budget appropriation.

Senator Dornink moved that S.F. 3881 be taken off the table. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

 

Senator Dornink moved the A-3 Amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED and the A-3 AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

 

Senator Rarick requested that Carlon Doyle Fontaine, Senate Council describe the contents of the amendment.

Discussion

 

Senator McEwen moved the A-4 Amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED and the A-4 AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

 

Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry Staff Responding to Questions:

  1. Scott McLellan, Director, Construction Codes and Licensing


Senator Dornink moved that S.F. 3881, as amended, be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Jobs and Economic Growth Finance and Policy Committee.

 

Senator McEwen requested a roll call vote on S.F. 3881, as amended. The results were as follows:

 

AYES: Senator Rarick, Senator Dornink, Senator Goggin

 

NAYS: Senator McEwen, Senator Isaacson

 

On a vote of 3 AYES and 2 NAYS, THE MOTION PREVAILED.
