Present: Senator Roger C. Chamberlain - Chair, Senator Justin D. Eichorn Vice Chair, Senator Steve Cwodzinski, Senator Zach Duckworth, Senator Jason Isaacson, Senator Mary K. Kunesh, Senator Scott J. Newman, Senator Charles W. Wiger

Absent: Senator Julia E. Coleman

Senator Roger C. Chamberlain called the meeting to order at 3:00

S.F. 2042: Senator Howe: Minnesota Council on Economic Education grants appropriation.

Senator Howe presented SF 2042

Testifiers: Julie Bunn, Exec. Dir. MN Council on Economic Education

Adam Rushmeyer, Melrose, MN, teacher

Senator Eichorn moved that SF 2042 pass and be referred to Commerce


Be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Commerce and Consumer Protection Finance and Policy Committee.

S.F. 1804: Senator Duckworth: School districts renewal of expiring referendums by action of school board authorization.

Senator Duckworth presented SF 1804.

S.F. 1416: Senator Chamberlain: Education finance local optional revenue clarification.

Senator Eichorn took the gavel. Senator Chamberlain presented SF 1416.

 


Be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Environment and Natural Resources Policy and Legacy Finance Committee.

S.F. 1417: Senator Chamberlain: Education finance general education aid clarification.

Sen Chamberlain presented SF 1417.

Senator Eichorn returned the gavel to Senator Chamberlain.

Sen Chamberlain announced this is the last regular Education Finance and Policy Committee as we enter into the end of deadlines and spring break.
