Senator David J. Tomassoni called the meeting to order at 1 p.m.

Introductions and 2021 Legislative Priorities Presentations

The following individuals presented testimony on their respective institution's 2021 legislative priorities:

 

    1) Jay Cowles, Chair, Board of Trustees - Minnesota State (see handout #1)

    2) Devinder Malhotra, Chancellor - Minnesota State

    3) Bill Maki, Vice Chancellor of Finance - Minnesota State

    4) Joan Gabel, President - University of Minnesota (see handout #2)

    5) Paul Cerkvenik, President - Minnesota Private College Council (see handouts #3 and  #4)

    6) Rebecca Bergman, President - Gustavus Adolphus College

    7) Dennis Olson, Commissioner - Minnesota Office of  Higher Education (see handout #5)

 

Following testimony, questions and comments from committee members ensued.
