Senator Foung Hawj called the meeting to order at 3:05pm.

Call to Order


S.F. 1980: Senator Clark: Assessment for each mattress and box spring sold in the state to fund grants to local governments to expand mattress recycling programs establishment; appropriating money.

Senator Clark offers the A-1 delete-everything amendment. Senator Kunesh moves. The following individuals testified on S.F.1980: Senator Drazkowski offers an oral amendment as follows: Drazkowski moves to orally amend the A-1 amendment to SF 1980 as follows: On line 1.15, delete "fee" and insert "tax" in both places On line 1.16, delete "fee" and insert "tax" On line 1.17, delete "fee" and insert "tax" in both places On line 1.19, delete "fee" and insert "tax" Roll call vote was granted by 5-4 party, amendment was NOT adopted. Senator Drazkowski moves to recommend that SF 1980, as amended, be re-referred to the Committee on Taxes. Roll call vote was granted of 5-4 party, amendment was NOT adopted. Senator Kunesh moved that S.F. 1980, be laid over. - MOTION ADOPTED.

S.F. 3127: Senator Kunesh: River Watch program appropriation.

Senator Kunesh offers the A-2 amendment, Senator Kunesh moves the amendment, passed by a voice vote. The following individuals testified on S.F.3127: --Ted Suss, Executive Director, Friends of the Minnesota Valley

Senator Kunesh moved that S.F. 3127, be laid over. - MOTION ADOPTED.

S.F. 2442: Senator Weber: Outdoor use of rainwater and stormwater provision.

Senator Weber offers the A26-0100 amendment, moved by Senator Johnson Steward, passed by voice vote. Senator Johnson Stewart moved that S.F. 2442, as amended, recommended to pass and re-referred to the Health and Human Services Committee. - MOTION ADOPTED.
