Chair D. Scott Dibble called the meeting to order at 3:05pm. After every agenda item, time was allowed for committee discussion and questions.

S.F. 3637: Senator Howe: Optometrists prescribing of certain window glaze materials authorization clarification provision.

Senator Jeff R. Howe presented S.F. 3637 - Optometrists prescribing of certain window glaze materials authorization clarification provision.

Senator Coleman moved that S.F. 3637, be recommended to pass. - MOTION ADOPTED.

Confirmation of Robin Hutcheson as Metropolitan Council Chair

Metropolitan Council Chair Robin Hutcheson provided her introduction and took questions from the committee. Vice Chair Ann M. Johnson-Stewart made a motion to approve Met. Co. Chair Hutcheson's nomination. Via voice vote, the motion prevailed and the committee approved her nomination.

S.F. 1373: Senator Limmer: Driver's license suspension expansion to include all cases where a person is believed to have committed vehicular homicide or criminal vehicular operation; peace officer reporting in all cases where a person is believed to have committed criminal vehicular homicide or criminal vehicular operation.

Senator Warren Limmer presented S.F. 1373 - Driver's license suspension expansion to include all cases where a person is believed to have committed vehicular homicide or criminal vehicular operation; peace officer reporting in all cases where a person is believed to have committed criminal vehicular homicide or criminal vehicular operation. Senator John R. Jasinski moved the A1 amendment. Via voice vote, the motion prevailed and the amendment was adopted. Testimony was heard from the following individuals:

Vice Chair Johnson Stewart presented S.F. 3623 - Senator Johnson Stewart Vehicles approaching school buses to stop for flashing red lights requirement. Brian Reu, MN State Patrol

Senator Johnson Stewart moved that S.F. 3623, be recommended to pass. - MOTION ADOPTED.
