Senator Ann H. Rest called the meeting to order at 8:42 a.m.

Call to Order


Approval of the minutes from 4/21/26

The minutes from April 21, 2026, were approved as presented.

S.F. 2766: Senator Hauschild: Homestead credit refund co-pays reduction provision.

Co-Presented by Senator Farnsworth Senator Hauschild moved the A-1 amendment. The motion prevailed, and the amendment was adopted. Testifiers: Charles Sutton – Chief Development Officer, Mesabi Metallics

Senator Rest moved that S.F. 2766, as amended, be laid over.

S.F. 4570: Senator Hauschild: Peace officer in certain municipalities minimum employment threshold qualification for purposes of police state aid apportionment modifications.

Testifier: Jessica Rich – City Administrator, City of Proctor

Senator Rest moved that S.F. 4570, be laid over.

S.F. 4634: Senator Hauschild: Film production credit modification.

Senator Hauschild moved the A-1 amendment. The motion prevailed, and the amendment was adopted. Testifiers: Sharon Marshik – President, Minnesota Film Alliance Mandy June Turpin – Independent Film Producer Mark Bradley – Chair of Government Relations and Public Policy Committee, SAG-AFTRA

Senator Rest moved that S.F. 4634, as amended, be laid over.

S.F. 4749: Senator Weber: Task Force on Housing Taxes and Fees establishment.

S.F. 5032: Senator Drazkowski: Tax establishment on certain individuals and organizations convicted of and benefiting from fraud.


S.F. 5101: Senator Miller: Sports and events reimbursement program establishment.
