Senator Ann H. Rest called the meeting to order at 9:01 a.m.

Call to Order.

Adoption of the minutes from 2/27/25.

The minutes from February 27, 2025, were approved as presented

S.F. 1028: Senator Rarick: Fire protection and emergency medical services special taxing districts establishment, fire protection and emergency medical service aid provision, and appropriation.

Senator Weber moved the A-2 amendment. The motion prevailed and the amendment was adopted Testifier: Jesse Buhs – Fire Chief, Cloquet Area Fire Department

Senator Rest moved that S.F. 1028, as amended, be laid over.

S.F. 1587: Senator Wiklund: Property tax exemption extension for property held for economic development.

Testifier: Holly Masek – Port Authority Administrator, Bloomington

Senator Rest moved that S.F. 1587, be laid over.

S.F. 1579: Senator Mohamed: Certain Indian Tribe owned property tax exemption establishment provision.

Testifier: Leonard Fineday – Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe

S.F. 755: Senator Anderson: Shareholder limit increase for entity-owned agricultural homestead property.

S.F. 1269: Senator Drazkowski: Minnesota agricultural water quality certification program credit for certain acres establishment and appropriation.

Senator Drazkowski moved that S.F. 1269, be referred to the Environment, Climate, and Legacy Committee without recommendation. - MOTION PREVAILED.

S.F. 1419: Senator Putnam: Agricultural assets owners available credit cap elimination provision.

Senator Putnam moved the A-2 amendment. The motion prevailed and the amendment was adopted Testifiers: Brad Kluver – Family Farmer, Northfield Tess Parks – W.T. Farms, Northfield

Senator Putnam moved that S.F. 1419, be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Agriculture, Veterans, Broadband, and Rural Development Committee. - MOTION PREVAILED.

S.F. 1498: Senator Putnam: Definition modification of agricultural land for agricultural property classification.

Senator Putnam moved the A-1 amendment. The motion prevailed and the amendment was adopted Testifier: Kelsey Zaavedra – Herloomista, North Branch
