Senator Ann H. Rest called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m

Call to Order.

A quorum is present

Adoption of the minutes from 2/19/25.

The minutes from February 19, 2025, were approved as presented

S.F. 13: Senator Mitchell: Woodbury refundable exemption provision for construction materials for certain projects.

Testifier: Mary Van Milligen – Public Works Director, Woodbury

Senator Rest moved that S.F. 13, be laid over.

S.F. 945: Senator Dahms: Redwood Independent School District refundable exemption for construction material provision for certain projects.

Testifiers: Becky Cselovski – Superintendent, Redwood Area School District Tom Anderson – Finance Director, Redwood Area School District

Senator Rest moved that S.F. 945, be laid over.

S.F. 67: Senator Mathews: City of Becker refundable exemption for certain construction materials provision and appropriation.

Senator Weber moved the A-1 amendment. The motion prevailed and the amendment was adopted. Testifier: Jeremy Schmidt – Superintendent, Becker Public Schools

S.F. 220: Senator Draheim: Fairmont sales and use tax exemption for construction materials authorization.

Senator Miller moved the A-1 amendment. The motion prevailed and the amendment was adopted. Testifier: Matthew York – Director of Public Works, Fairmont

S.F. 957: Senator Wesenberg: Benton County government center refundable exemption for certain construction materials provision.

S.F. 344: Senator Coleman: Chanhassen sales and use tax exemption for construction materials authorization.

Senator Rest moved that S.F. 1077, as amended, be laid over.

S.F. 1089: Senator Hauschild: Appropriation increase for soil and water conservation district aid.

Senator Hauschild moved the A-2 amendment. The motion prevailed and the amendment was adopted. Testifier: Sheila Vanney – Assistant Director, MASWCD

S.F. 1184: Senator Rest: Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport renovation refundable tax exemption provision for construction materials.

Senator Rest moved the A-1 amendment. The motion prevailed and the amendment was adopted. Testifier: Mitch Kilian – VP of Government Affairs, Metropolitan Airports Commission

Senator Klein moved that S.F. 1184, as amended, be laid over.
