Chair Champion calls the hybrid zoom Subcommittee on Ethical Conduct Meeting to order at 11:03am conducted in Minnesota Senate Building room 1100 and over zoom broadcast.

Senator Nicole Mitchell - 4/24/24

Senate Counsel, Alexis Stangl, provides an update on the criminal matter pertaining to the ethics complaint on Senator Mitchell.

 

Senator Kunesh moves to defer action until after criminal proceedings have been concluded to a time specific date of July 25^th at 11am and authorize the committee to take further action on the complaint should a material development arise that warrants additional consideration.

 

• Bruce Ringstrom, Nicole Mitchell’s Attorney at Law, gives a small testimony at 11:12am regarding how far along criminal proceedings will be for a substantial and effective ethics hearing on July 25^th at 11am.

 

 

Having voted via voice vote. The motion prevails and the committee stands adjourned until July 25^th at 11am or if there is a reason to advance the meeting due to new information becoming available.

 

The meeting was adjourned at 11:20am
