Senator Steve Cwodzinski called the meeting to order at 8:30am.

Call to Order


S.F. 3449: Senator Gustafson: General education basic formula allowance increase and appropriation.

Senator Gustafson presented S.F. 3449. The following individuals testified on S.F.3449: Matt Grose, Superintendent, Grand Rapids; John Vento, director on Robbinsdale Area Schools school board; Jeff Holmberg, Superintendent of Centennial Schools #12 Senator Kunesh assumed Chair duties.

Senator Gustafson moved that S.F. 3449, be laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus bill. - MOTION ADOPTED.

S.F. 4184: Senator Gustafson: Local optional revenue modifications, unemployment costs and family paid medical leave in local optional revenue inclusion, referendum revenue simplification, equalization aid increase, and appropriating money.

Senator Gustafson presented S.F. 4184. Senator Gustafson moved that S.F. 4184, be laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus bill. - MOTION ADOPTED.

S.F. 5256: Senator Kunesh: Certain lunchroom furniture costs authorization in the school food service fund.

Senator Cwodzinski assumed Chair duties. Senator Kunesh presented S.F. 5256. The following individuals testified on S.F.5256: Mandy Fletcher, Superintendent, Blue Earth Area School District; Jeremy Schmidt, Superintendent, Becker Public School District

Senator Kunesh moved that S.F. 5256, be laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus bill. - MOTION ADOPTED.

S.F. 4192: Senator Maye Quade: Children placed in foster care to access school-age care programs priority requirement; school age-care revenue eligibility and uses modification; appropriating money.

Senator Kunesh assumed Chair duties. Senator Maye Quade moved the A1 amendment. MOTION PREVAILED. Senator Maye Quade presented S.F. 4192.

Senator Maye Quade moved that S.F. 4192, as amended, laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus bill. - MOTION ADOPTED.

S.F. 3790: Senator Hauschild: Child care cost assistance program establishment; disclosure of tax return information for purposes of verifying eligibility for early child care and learning benefit programs authorization; appropriating money.
