Present: Senator David J. Tomassoni - Chair, Senator Foung Hawj - Vice Chair, Senator D. Scott Dibble, Senator Bill Ingebrigtsen, Senator David J. Osmek, Senator Carrie Ruud, Senator Tom Saxhaug, Senator Bev Scalze, Senator Matt Schmit, Senator Rod Skoe, Senator Dan Sparks, Senator Bill Weber, Senator Torrey N. Westrom

Senator David J. Tomassoni called the meeting to order at 12:10 p.m. Senator Tomassoni announced that the plan for the Division is to hear more bills next Wednesday as well as roll out the omnibus bill. On April 16th we will take up the omnibus bill and on April 20 it will be in heard in the full Finance Committee.

S.F. 1749: Senator Koenen: Food hubs and alternative community-based food distribution systems grants appropriation.


S.F. 1271: Senator Koenen: Livestock industry study requirement.


S.F. 927: Senator Eken: Minnesota agricultural education leadership council grants appropriation.


S.F. 618: Senator Eken: Industrial Hemp Development Act.


S.F. 1993: Senator Sparks: Agriculture research, education, extension, and technology transfer grant program establishment and appropriation.


S.F. 517: Senator Saxhaug: Advanced biofuel production incentive program, renewable chemical production incentive program and biomass production incentive program creation and appropriation.


S.F. 1389: Senator Sparks: Noxious weed grant program appropriation.


S.F. 733: Senator Sparks: Agricultural marketing efforts and outreach to Cuba appropriation.


S.F. 1302: Senator Weber: University of Minnesota veterinary diagnostic laboratory equipment and facilities appropriation.
