Senator Lourey called the meeting to order at 8:48 a.m. Senator Hawj presented S.F. 1272. Senator Hawj moved adoption of the A-2 Amendment. AMENDMENT ADOPTED. Senator Hawj moved S.F. 1272 as amended be recommended to pass for possible inclusion in the omnibus bill. MOTION PREVAILED. Testifiers: Jason Valentine, Commission on Deaf, Deaf Blind and Hard of Hearing Minnesotans James Beal, Citizen Senator Lourey presented S.F. 139. Senator Lourey offered the A-23 Amendment. Senator Lourey offered an oral amendment to the A-23 Amendment, on Page 22 of the bill, line 17, delete “commerce” and insert “human services.” Senator Lourey moved adoption of the A-23 Amendment as orally amended. AMENDMENT ADOPTED. Senator Rosen offered the A-24 Amendment. Senator Rosen offered an oral amendment to the A-24 Amendment, on line 1.31, after 15 insert, “delete lines 32-36”. Senator Rosen moved the A-24 Amendment as orally amended. AMENDMENT ADOPTED. Senator Benson moved an oral amendment, on Page 17, line 19, “delete the date and renumber the sections.” AMENDMENT NOT ADOPTED. Senator Lourey moved S.F. 139 as amended be recommended to pass for possible inclusion in the omnibus bill. MOTION PREVAILED. Senator Benson presented S.F. 844. Senator Benson offered the A-1 Amendment. Senator Benson moved an oral amendment to the A-1 Amendment, on line 1.7 delete, “100,000” and insert “156,000” and delete “100,000” and insert “156,000”. Senator Benson moved adoption of the A-1 Amendment as amended. AMENDMENT ADOPTED. Senator Benson moved S.F. 844 as amended be recommended to pass for possible inclusion in the omnibus bill. MOTION PREVAILED. Testifier: Kelly Harder, Dakota County Community Services Director Senator Lourey presented S.F. 1457. Senator Lourey moved S.F. 1457 be recommended to pass to Finance Committee. MOTION PREVAILED. Senator Sheran presented S.F. 1292. Senator moved adoption of the A-4 Amendment. AMENDMENT ADOPTED. Senator Sheran moved S.F. 1292 as amended be recommended to pass for possible inclusion in the omnibus bill. MOTION PREVAILED. S.F. 1272: Senator Hawj: Deaf and hard-of-hearing services division funding and deaf, deafblind, or hard-of-hearing persons services grant program appropriations.



Senator Hawj moved that S.F. 1272, as amended, laid over and may become part of omnibus bill. - MOTION PREVAILED.

S.F. 139: Senator Lourey: MNsure state agency designation and regulation; MNsure board and legislative oversight committee elimination.



Senator Lourey moved that S.F. 139, as amended, recommended to pass and maybe considered for omnibus bill. - MOTION PREVAILED.

S.F. 844: Senator Benson: Cost-benefit approach to measure corrections and human services programs success implementation.



Senator Benson moved that S.F. 844, as amended, recommended to pass and maybe considered for omnibus bill. - MOTION PREVAILED.

S.F. 1292: Senator Sheran: Nonemergency medical transportation providers regulation and payment rates modification.


S.F. 1457: Senator Lourey: Home and community-based services transitions grants human services commissioner authority to transfer funds elimination.



Senator Lourey moved that S.F. 1457, be recommended to pass. - MOTION PREVAILED.
