Present: Senator Thomas M. Bakk - Chair, Senator Richard Cohen, Senator Michelle L. Fischbach, Senator Paul E. Gazelka, Senator David W. Hann, Senator Warren Limmer, Senator John Marty, Senator James P. Metzen, Senator Scott J. Newman, Senator Sandra L. Pappas, Senator Rod Skoe, Senator LeRoy A. Stumpf

Absent: Senator Katie Sieben - Vice Chair

Senator Thomas M. Bakk called the meeting to order at 2:36 pm. Senator Bakk declared a quorum was present.

S.F. 248: Senator Bonoff: Narrow-leaved cattail mechanical control rulemaking requirement.



Senator Stumpf moved that S.F. 248, Joint Rule 2.03 be suspended for all further proceedings on SF248 and that the report from the Committee on Environment and Energy be adopted. - MOTION PREVAILED.

S.R. 55: Senator Senjem: A Senate resolution honoring the University of Minnesota women\'s hockey team for an historic championship season.



Senator Limmer moved that S.R. 55, be adopted. - MOTION PREVAILED.

S.F. 640: Senator Hoffman: Trade policy advisory council establishment.



Senator Cohen moved that S.F. 640, be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Finance Committee. - MOTION PREVAILED.

S.F. 796: Senator Schmit: Miscellaneous natural resources department (DNR) provisions modifications; Minnesota-Wisconsin boundary area invasive species commission; driftless area water resources protection.



Senator Pappas moved that S.F. 796, be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Finance Committee. - MOTION PREVAILED.

S.F. 1081: Senator Rosen: Businesses regulated by pharmacy board licensing requirements modifications; compounding requirements clarifications; prescription monitoring program provisions modifications.



Senator Fischbach moved that S.F. 1081, Joint Rule 2.03 be suspended for all further proceedings on SF1081 and that the report from the Committee on Health, Human Services and Housing be adopted. - MOTION PREVAILED.

Senator Pappas moved that The Report from the Subcommittee on Permanent and Joint Rules Regarding
     Proposed Permanent Rules, be adopted and that the Chair introduce the resolution on behalf of the Rules Committee. - MOTION PREVAILED.
