Senator Ron Latz called the meeting to order at 12:37 pm.

Former ATF Agent Presentation on S.F. 458


S.F. 503: Senator Latz: Firearm loss or theft false report criminalization; firearm transfer restriction; firearm possession ineligibility expansion.



Senator Latz moved that S.F. 503, be laid over and maybe considered for omnibus bill.

S.F. 520: Senator Latz: Firearms voluntary registry; centralized registry maintenance and creation; law enforcement mandate to accept voluntary surrender of firearms and ammunition from persons on the voluntary register and return of the firearms and ammunition upon request.



Senator Latz moved that S.F. 520, be laid over and maybe considered for omnibus bill.

S.F. 400: Senator Brown: Firearm Protection Act.



Not heard.

S.F. 413: Senator Goodwin: Firearms possession eligibility restoration for violent felons judicial process modification.



Senator Latz moved that S.F. 413, as amended, laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus bill.

S.F. 568: Senator Cohen: Firearm possession eligibility restoration for certain ineligible persons judicial process modification; judicial challenge to denials of permits to carry a handguns modifications.



Senator Latz moved that S.F. 568, be laid over and maybe considered for omnibus bill.

S.F. 557: Senator Cohen: Firearms permits application mental health screening enhancement provisions.



Senator Latz moved that S.F. 557, be laid over and maybe considered for omnibus bill.

S.F. 339: Senator Nienow: Resolution memorializing the President and Congress to respect and not violate the second amendment to the United States Constitution for right to bear arms.



Not heard.

State law (section 609.66, subdivision 1g prohibits carrying a handgun in the state capitol without a permit to carry and giving proper prior notification to the commissioner of public safety. This is a felony offense that will result in immediate arrest for a violation. Please take care to fully comply with the law.


NO ACTION WILL BE TAKEN ON THESE BILLS.
