Senator Jennifer A. McEwen called the meeting to order at 12:41pm

Call to Order


S.F. 2373: Senator McEwen: Department of Labor and Industry, Workers Compensation Court of Appeals and Bureau of Mediation Services appropriations and provisions modifications.

Testifiers: - Commissioner Nicole Blissenbach, Department of Labor and Industry - Mark Brunner, Manufactured and Modular Home Association of Minnesota - Melissa Hysing, Minnesota AFL-CIO - Kate Lynne Snyder, Education Minnesota - John Thorson, LIUNA Minnesota and North Dakota Senator McEwen offered the A3 amendment - adopted by voice Senator McEwen offered the A13 amendment - adopted by voice Senator Dornink offered the A4 amendment - failed on roll call 4 aye, 6 nay Senator Dornink requested a roll call Ayes: Dornink, Gruenhagen, Lieske, Wesenberg Nays: McEwen, Kupec, Marty, Pappas, Hauschild, Oumou Verbeten Senator Dornink offered the A11 - failed on voice vote Senator Gruenhagen offered the A8 amendment Senator Gruenhagen withdrew the A8 amendment SF2373 was laid on the table and taken back up after SF2149 was passed. Senator Oumou Verbeten offered the A12 amendment - adopted as amended by voice Senator Oumou Verbeten moves an oral amendment: 1.8 delete "must" and replace it with "may" 1.12 delete "must" and replace it with "may" Oral amendment to the A12 passed by voice

Senator Marty moved that S.F. 2373, as amended, recommended to pass and re-referred to the Finance Committee. - MOTION ADOPTED.

S.F. 2149: Senator McEwen: Labor and industry technical provisions modifications; earned sick and safe time provisions modifications.

Senator Oumou Verbeten moved that S.F. 2149, as amended, be recommended to pass. - MOTION ADOPTED.
