Senator Erin P. Murphy called the meeting to order at 8:38 AM. Senator Murphy called a recess at 9:26 AM. The committee resumed at 9:30 AM.
S.F. 856: Senator Gustafson: Office of the Inspector General creation and appropriation.
Senator Frentz moved the A47 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. Senator Johnson moved an oral amendment to the A48 amendment. Page 1, line 5 after the period, insert the following sentence "Section 15.066 subdivision 3 does not apply." THE MOTION PREVAILED. Senator Pappas moved the A48 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. Senator Pappas moved an oral amendment to the S.F. 0856. Page 11, line 2 insert a new subdivision called "Chair", stating that "the commission must select a chair from among its members by January 31 of each odd-numbered year. The chair shall serve until a successor is elected. The chair must alternate biennially between the senate and the house of representatives." THE MOTION PREVAILED.
