Senator Erin Maye Quade called the meeting to order at 3:04pm. Senator Hoffman took the gavel at 4:36pm.

Call to Order


S.F. 1062: Senator Hoffman: Direct support professional certification pilot project establishment.

The following individuals testified on S.F.1418: 1. Jesse Bethke Gomez, MMA, Executive Director; MCIL 2. Todd Kemery, National Director; Paralyzed Veterans of America Minnesota chapter, MCIL Board Member 3. Kate Caldwell, Ph.D., Director of Research & Policy, Center of Racial and Disability Justice; Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law 4. Michel Berndt, President; Inver Hills Community College & Dakota County Technical College

Senator Maye Quade moved that S.F. 1062, be laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus bill. - MOTION ADOPTED.

S.F. 1418: Senator Hoffman: Direct support professionals council establishment and appropriation.

Senator Hoffman moved that S.F. 1418, as amended, recommended to pass and re-referred to the State and Local Government Committee. - MOTION ADOPTED.

S.F. 1827: Senator Abeler: Substance use disorder treatment provisions modification.



Senator Abeler moved that S.F. 1827, be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Judiciary and Public Safety Committee. - MOTION ADOPTED.

S.F. 1966: Senator Abeler: Timelines modification for filing medical claims after recoupment.

The following individuals testified on S.F.1966: 1. Brian Zirbes, Executive Director, MARRCH 2. Michael Beltowsky, VP of Program Development at Horowitz Health and MARRCH Treasurer; former VP of Operations at Gateway Recovery Center

Senator Abeler moved that S.F. 1966, be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Commerce and Consumer Protection Committee. - MOTION ADOPTED.

S.F. 1826: Senator Abeler: Payment rates establishment for certain substance use disorder treatment services.

The following individuals testified on S.F.1826: 1. Brian Zirbes, Executive Director, MARRCH 2. Roy John Sutherland, VP of Addiction Services; Nystrom & Associate 3. Lew Zeidner, CEO; EOSIS 4. Sadie Brokemeier, MARATP

Senator Abeler moved that S.F. 1826, be laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus bill. - MOTION ADOPTED.
