Senator Pratt moves an oral amendment to the A5 amendment that modifies  

  • Pg. 1 line 21 by inserting a colon after the word “first  

 

  • Line 1.24 before the period insert a semi colon and “friend to close friend, the economic development associations of Anoka, Carver, Scott and Washington Counties. The motion prevails and the oral amendment to the A5 amendment is adopted via voice vote at 1:19pm 

 

The motion on the A-5 amendment fails via voice vote at 1:20pm, and the A5 amendment is not adopted. 

 

Senator Champion moves that S.F. 5289, as amended, be recommended to pass and re-referred to the committee on Finance. The motion prevails and S.F. 5289, as amended is re-referred to the Committee on Finance at 1:21pm

  • Senator Nelson offers an oral amendment during questioning at 2:12pm modifying 42.20 by striking the word “otherto read to conduct an actuarial study for this purpose no less than every year. The motion prevails and the amendment is adopted via voice vote at 2:12pm. 

 

  • Senator Pratt requests a Local Impact Statement on S.F. 5430, as the ranking member of finance, at 2:18pm. 

 

  • Senator Draheim offers an oral amendment at 2:33pm to modify pg. 35 by deleting section 28. 

 

  • Senator Pratt also proposes that Senator Draheim deletes section 29 in the Draheim oral amendment. Draheim approves. The oral amendment offered by Senator Draheim is then revised to modify pg. 35 by deleting section 28 and section 29 at 2:34pm. The motion does not prevail, and the oral amendment is not adopted via voice vote. 

 

Senator Mohamed moves that S.F. 5430, as amended, be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Commerce. The motion prevails and S.F. 5430 is re-referred to the committee on Commerce. 

 


Senator Mohamed moved that S.F. 5430, as amended, recommended to pass and re-referred to the Commerce and Consumer Protection Committee. - MOTION PREVAILED.
