Senator Jennifer A. McEwen called the meeting to order at 12:36pm.

Call to Order


S.F. 3793: Senator Hauschild: Bureau of Mediation Services technical changes authorization.

Senator Grant Hauschild presented Senate File 3793.

 

Bureau of Mediation Services Commissioner Johnny Villarreal testified in favor of SF3793.

 

Discussion.

 

Senator Clare Oumou Verbeten moved that SF3793 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the State and Local Government, and Veterans Committee.

            The motion is adopted along a voice vote.

 

The gavel is passed to Vice Chair Hauschild at 12:39pm.


Senator Oumou Verbeten moved that S.F. 3793, be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Judiciary and Public Safety Committee. - MOTION ADOPTED.

S.F. 3428: Senator McEwen: Technical and policy changes to certain public employee labor relations provisions.

Senator McEwen presented Senate File 3428.

 

Senator McEwen moved the A-1 amendment to SF3428.

The amendment is adopted along a voice vote.

 

Bureau of Mediation Services Commissioner Johnny Villarral walked through the bill and testified in favor of SF3428.

Senator McEwen moved that SF3428 as amended, be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Senate Judiciary and Public Safety Committee.

            The motion is adopted along a voice vote.

S.F. 3638: Senator Marty: Oral fluid testing procedures authorization as a preemployment alternative for drug, alcohol, and cannabis testing by employers.

Senator John Marty presented Senate File 3638.

            The amendment is adopted along a voice vote.

Department of Labor & Industry, Director of Construction Codes and Licensing, Todd Green testified in favor of SF3852.
