Senator Carla J. Nelson called the meeting to order at 8:37am

S.F. 1159: Senator Newman: Omnibus transportation policy and finance bill.

Senator Miller moves the a-21 amendment.

 

The a-21 amendment is adopted.


Senator Nelson moved that S.F. 1159, as amended, recommended to pass and re-referred to the Finance Committee.

S.F. 960: Senator Chamberlain: Omnibus education policy and finance bill.

Senator Chamberlain moves SF-960 be recommended to pass. 

 

Committee discussion.

 

Senator Rest requests roll call vote.

 

Senator Nelson moves to lay over for possible inclusion. 

 

SF-960 is laid over, but taken up again before adjournment.

Senator Nelson moves to re-refer SF-960 to Finance without recommendation.

Senator Nelson moved that S.F. 960, be referred to the Finance Committee without recommendation.

S.F. 2206: Senator Nelson: National criminal history background check and fingerprint requirements for individuals with access to federal tax information; data classification requirement.



Be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Civil Law and Data Practices Policy Committee.

S.F. 1318: Senator Nelson: Sales and use tax exemption expansion for restaurant equipment and furnishings purchases.

Senator Nelson moves the a-3 amendment.

 

The a-3 amendment is adopted. 

 


As amended, laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus bill.

S.F. 2237: Senator Nelson: Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport refundable construction sales and use tax exemption for public infrastructure authorization.



Senator Nelson moved that S.F. 2237, be laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus bill.

S.F. 2366: Senator Rest: Expedited refund for certain overpayments of estimated tax authorization.



Be laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus bill.

S.F. 2194: Senator Dziedzic: June accelerated sales and use tax liability of certain vendors based on the November forecast percentage reduction.

Senator Dziedzic moves the a-2 amendment.

 

The a-2 amendment is adopted. 


As amended, laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus bill.
