Present: Senator Andrew Mathews - Chair, Senator Warren Limmer - Vice Chair, Senator Bruce D. Anderson, Senator Karla Bigham, Senator Jim Carlson, Senator Mark Johnson, Senator Ron Latz, Senator Torrey N. Westrom

Senator Andrew Mathews called the meeting to order at 1:02 PM.

Call to Order


S.F. 1519: Senator Kiffmeyer: Child support and arrears modifications.

Senator Kiffmeyer introduces her SF 1519. She has an A-3 Delete All Amendment.

 

Senator Limmer moves the A-3 Amendment. Voice vote, no opposition. The amendment is adopted. 

 

Testifiers: 

Melissa Rossow, assistant Ramsey County Attorney and Human Services legal division. She is supporting this bill. The guidelines have not been improved since 2007. 

 

Amy Anderson, Ramsey County Assistant Attorney. Child support for 26 years, CPA and has a small practice as well. Is testifying in support of the bill.

Jodi Heurung-Dick, from Sherburne County Department of Child Protective Services testifying in support of SF 1587. 

 

Alexis Kramer, Homeless family advocate testifying in support of the bill.
