1.1A Senate resolution

         		1.2honoring Mike Dandl on being named Cottage Grove Firefighter of the Year.

         		1.3WHEREAS, those who work tirelessly in their communities to protect the public's safety 

         		1.4and well-being perform an important service deserving of special legislative recognition;         and

         		 1.5WHEREAS, firefighting involves extensive training to extinguish hazardous fires that 

         		1.6threaten property and civilian or natural populations and to rescue people from dangerous         situations; 

         		1.7and

         		 1.8WHEREAS, Mike Dandl has been a firefighter for 15 years; and

         		 1.9WHEREAS, Mike Dandl was named Cottage Grove Firefighter of the Year. Mike was 

         		1.10chosen from a pool of approximately 45 firefighters and three nominees. Fire Department         Chief 

         		1.11Rick Redenius said Dandl was chosen based on his strong performance as a firefighter         and the extra 

         		1.12duties he performs. He is willing to step in as a leader when needed, on and off duty;         and

         		 1.13NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the State of Minnesota that it 

         		1.14congratulates Mike Dandl on being named Cottage Grove Firefighter of the Year.

         		1.15BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is directed to prepare an 

         		1.16enrolled copy of this resolution, to be authenticated by the Secretary's  signature         and that of the 

         		1.17Chair of the Senate Rules and Administration Committee, and transmit it to Mike Dandl.
