1.1A Senate resolution
1.2congratulating Averey Speed of Chanhassen, Minnesota, for receiving the Eagle
1.3Award.
1.4WHEREAS, the Eagle Award is the highest award given by the Boy Scouts of America; and
1.5WHEREAS, attaining the rank of Eagle in the Boy Scouts is an important achievement
1.6that is worthy of recognition; and
1.7WHEREAS, Averey Speed is a member of Boy Scouts of America Troop 330 and has
1.8displayed the attributes of a responsible and serving member; and
1.9WHEREAS, he has demonstrated mastery of all scouting skills and completed a
1.10community service project, which involved planning, designing, and building a set of mailboxes
1.11for residents in Carver County's Group Recovery Homes in Chaska; and
1.12WHEREAS, an Eagle Court of Honor will be held on April 26, 2014, at 6:30 p.m. at
1.13the Chanhassen Public Library; and
1.14NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the State of Minnesota that it
1.15congratulates Averey Speed of Chanhassen, Minnesota, for receiving the Eagle Award.
1.16BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is directed to prepare a
1.17copy of this resolution, to be authenticated by the Secretary's signature and that of the Chair of the
1.18Senate Rules and Administration Committee, and transmit it to Averey Speed.
