Fri February 28, 2014Minnesota's state budget will have a surplus of $1.233 billion dollars by the end of June, 2015, according to the latest state budget estimates announced Friday, February 28. According to Minnesota Management and Budget Commissioner James Schowalter, revenue projections improved an additional $408 million dollars since the latest forecast. The improvement results from an additional $366 million dollars in the coffers, while the department estimates spending to decrease by $48 million.
