Statewide Concurrent Enrollment Teacher Training Program.

Subdivision 1. Definition. Updates the Northwest Regional Partnership name to Concurrent Enrollment Teacher Partnership. Adds that the Metropolitan Educational Cooperative Service Unit and other interested Minnesota State Colleges and Universities can be part of the Partnership. Clarifies that Lakes Country Service Cooperative is the fiscal host for the Concurrent Enrollment Teacher Partnership.

Subdivision 2. Establishment. Removes language to maintain clarity.

Subdivision 3. Curriculum development. Removes language to maintain clarity.

Subdivision 4. Funding for course participation; course development; participation incentives. Requires that funding be available for eligible teachers to participate in the program. States the Partnership may provide funding for course development in applicable postsecondary subject areas; work with school districts to develop incentives for teachers to participate in the program; and enroll college faculty, as space permits, and provide financial assistance if state aid remains available.

Subdivision 6. Private funding. Removes outdated language.

Subdivision 7. Report required. Removes outdated language.

Section 2. Concurrent enrollment teacher training program. Updates the appropriation for fiscal year 2021. Adds a base budget for the program.
