Author: Senator Mark W. Koran

Prepared By: Stephanie James, Senate Counsel (651/296-0103)

Section 1 [Submission of Items for Publication] changes the format, from a machine readable computer tape to a readable digital file, in which the revisor of statutes must furnish rules to assist the commissioner of administration in its duties to publish certain rulemaking documents.

Section 2 [Cost; Distribution] reduces the number of copies, from ten to one, of the State Register that the commissioner of administration must provide to the Legislative Reference Library and the State Law Library.  Eliminates a requirement that the commissioner of administration provide a copy of the State Register at no cost to a public library in each county. Eliminates a requirement that the commissioner of administration advise recipient libraries about the significance and content of the State Register and encourage efforts to promote its use.

Section 3 [Capitol Event Fees; Appropriation] changes the date of an annual report by the commissioner of administration on events held at the Capitol.
