SF 2676 modifies application deadlines for homestead determination and the disabled veterans homestead exclusion.

Section 1. Homestead established after assessment date. Extends, from December 1st to December 31st, the deadline to apply for homestead treatment for property not used as a homestead on the assessment date (January 2nd).

Section 2. Homestead application.  Extends, from December 15th to December 31st, the date by which all homestead applications must be submitted. 

Section 3. Homestead of disabled veteran or family caregiver. Extends, from December 15th to December 31st, the application due date for the disabled veterans homestead exclusion.

Effective Date.  All sections are effective beginning with assessment year 2020.
