|
Section 1 of the bill requires Senate confirmation of nine of the 11 members of the Sentencing Guidelines Commission. Exempt from Senate confirmation are the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court and the Commissioner of Corrections.
Section 2 is a conforming amendment that also deletes obsolete language.
