Author: Senator Jim Abeler

Prepared By: Liam Monahan, Senate Analyst (651/296-1791)

Date: March 27, 2019

S.F. No. 2539 requires the Department of Employment and Economic Development to enter into limited-use vendor operating agreements with day training and habilitation (DT&H) providers to allow DT&H providers to provide vocational rehabilitative services to their existing disability waiver clients if the client makes an informed choice to stay with the DT&H provider when receiving vocational rehabilitative services. Limited-use vendor operating agreements are an existing type of vendor agreement for the provision of vocational rehabilitation services by providers who are not accredited with the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities.
