S.F. No. 1259 provides a 23.7% medical assistance reimbursement rate increase over the rates in effect on December 31, 2019, for independent clinical social workers, marriage and family therapists, psychologists, and professional clinical counselors who provide critical access mental health services, including group skills training in children’s therapeutic services, psychotherapy, medication management, evaluation and management, diagnostic assessment, explanation of findings, psychological testing, neuropsychological services, direction of behavioral aides, and inpatient consultation, beginning January 1, 2020.
