Section 1. Appropriations; Collaborative Urban Educator Program. Appropriates $1,000,000 in fiscal years 2020 and 2021 from the general fund to the commissioner of education for the collaborative urban educator grant program. Provides that the grants be awarded to certain recipient organizations in equal amounts. Requires each grant recipient to report to the legislature by January 15 of each year on the use of funds, the total number of teachers produced by the program, and the diversity of the cohort of teachers produced by the program.
