Section 1 (13.61) amends the Data Practices Act to specify that grant application or proposal data submitted to the Board of the Arts or to a regional arts council is governed by the new section of law under section 2.

Section 2 (129D.20) provides that grant application or proposal data submitted to the Board of the Arts or to a regional arts council becomes public data at the time in which the application or proposal is considered at a public review meeting. Any trade secret data contained in the application or proposal is classified under Minnesota Statutes, section 13.37, related to general nonpublic data.
