Section 1 codifies that any proposed modification of the Sentencing Guidelines applies to crimes committed on or after August 1 of that year, unless the Legislature provides otherwise.
Section 2 provides legislative approval of the modifications made in the Minnesota Sentencing Guidelines 2019 report to the Legislature.
