S.F. No. 789 replaces cerain ongoing training requirements for family child care providers with an annual course of up to two hours that refreshes child care provider training on the risk of sudden unexpected infant death, abusive head trauma from shaking, active supervision, child development and behavior guidance, and any training required by the child care development block grant. The course must be available to complete online or through self-study. Ongoing training hours for family child care providers are reduced to 10.
