S.F. No. 911 prohibits the use of trunk highway funds for bicycle routes or lanes.

Section 1.  Bikeways; powers and duties; design guidelines. The commissioner of transportation is prohibited from spending trunk highway funds on bicycle lanes or routes.

Section 2.  Replacing bikeways and pedestrian ways.  Replacing a bikeway, pedestrian way, or roadway used by bicycles or pedestrians is prohibited when trunk highway funds would be used for the replacement.

Section 3.  Funding.  The commissioner is prohibited from spending trunk highway funds on state bicycle routes.

Section 4. Prohibition on use for bicycle lanes or routes.  No trunk highway funds may be spend on bicycle lanes. Trunk highway funds must not be spend to convert a vehicle lane into a bicycle lanes or routes.

Section 5.  Purpose.  The advisory committee on nonmotorized transportation is prohibited from making recommendations that would spend trunk highway funds on bicycle lanes or routes.

Section 6.  Bicycle lane funding limitation.  Notwithstanding complete street policies or plans, the commissioner is prohibited from spending trunk highway funds on bicycle lanes or routes.
