This bill authorizes the city of Perham to impose up to a 0.5% local sales and use tax if approved by the voters at the November 6, 2018 election. Revenues from the tax would be used for financing improvements to the Perham Area Community Center, including site preparation, redevelopment, renovation, design, construction, furnishing, and equipping of buildings, land, and infrastructure. The city may issue up to $8 million in bonds for the projects. The tax terminates at the earlier of 25 years or when the bonds have been paid.
