Section 1 [Technical assistance] paragraph (a), increases the amount the Commissioner of Commerce may assess for technical assistance under the energy conservation improvement program (CIP) from $850,000 to $950,000 annually.

Paragraph (b) increases the amount the commissioner may expend to $500,000 of the annual assessment amount to develop, operate, maintain, and provide technical support through the energy savings platform tool for a uniform electronic data reporting and tracking system. Removes the expiration date for paragraph (b), currently set to expire on June 30, 2017.
