S.F. No. 3215 adds community emergency medical technician (CEMT) services to the set of covered benefits under medical assistance.

Section 1 (256B.0625, subdivision 60a, paragraph (a)) establishes CEMT services as a covered benefit.

Paragraph (b) establishes and describes a CEMT posthospital discharge visit as a CEMT service.

Paragraph (c) establishes and describes a CEMT safety evaluation visit as a CEMT service.

Paragraph (d) establishes the provider rate for CEMT services.

This bill is effective January 1, 2017, or upon federal approval, whichever is later.
