S.F. No. 2798 establishes the Child Support Task Force to advise the Commissioner of Human Services on matters relevant to maintain effective and efficient child support guidelines that will best serve children and families.
Section 1 [Child Support Task Force]
Subdivision 1 establishes the task force and contains a purpose statement.
Subdivision 2 specifies the task force membership.
Subdivision 3 requires the task force to elect a chair and to meet at least three times per year, with at least one meeting for public input.
Subdivision 4 requires the commissioner to provide staff and administrative services.
Subdivision 5 specifies the general duties of the task force and identifies priority issues.
Subdivision 6 requires consultation with the Cultural and Ethnic Communities Leadership Council.
Subdivision 7 requires a report to the chairs and ranking minority members of the Senate and House of Representatives committees having jurisdiction over child support matters by February 15, 2019.
Subdivision 8 provides that the task force expires June 30, 2020, unless extended by the Legislature.
