S.F. 2525 requires nonwoven disposable products that are for sale in the state that are not flushable, septic safe, and sewer safe to carry a "Do Not Flush" label.  Following is a summary of the judiciary issues.

Section 1, subdivision 4 [Penalty; enforcement] provides a civil penalty of up to $5,000 per violation. Allows the attorney general to bring an action for recovery of civil penalties.  Authorizes attorney general to accept an assurance of discontinuance of acts that violate the labeling requirements under the general law in section 8.31 governing investigation and enforcement powers of the attorney general.
