Section 1 [Task Force on No-Fault Auto Insurance Issues] establishes a task force to evaluate specified topics related to no-fault automobile insurance reform.
Subd. 1. [Establishment] establishes the task force.
Subd. 2. [Membership; Meetings; Staff] specifies the composition of the task force, sets a deadline for appointing members, and specifies that members serve at the pleasure of the appointing authority. Provides for members to be compensated and reimbursed for expenses. Sets a deadline for the Commissioner of Commerce to convene the first meeting and appoint a chair. Requires the Department of Commerce to provide staffing and technical assistance.
Subd. 3 [Duties] specifies the topics related to no-fault automobile insurance reform that the task force must review and evaluate.
Subd. 4 [Report] requires the task force to submit a report to the legislature by February 1, 2016, with draft legislation to implement its recommendations.
Subd. 5 [Expiration] expires the task force after submitting its report or February 2, 2016, whichever is earlier.
