Senate File 520 provides for a reduced nontrail registration fee of $6 for snowmobiles with an engine displacement of less than 175 cubic centimeters (CCs). Currently, except for collector snowmobiles, the nontrail registration fee for a snowmobile is $45. The registration is good for three years. The lifetime fee for a collector snowmobile is $6. The three-year registration fee for snowmobiles that includes state and grant-in-aid trail use is $75.
