Section 1 [Definitions] adds the Minnesota Historical Society to the list of entities that are included within the meaning of “state” for purposes of Minnesota Statutes, sections 3.732 (permitting settlement of claims against the state) and 3.736 (compensating losses for tort claims).
Section 2 [Other Eligible Persons] adds nonsalaried employees of the Minnesota Historical Society to those eligible for state-paid life insurance and hospital, medical, and dental benefits under collective bargaining agreements.
Section 3 [Director’s Responsibilities] clarifies cites to federal law.
Section 4 [Historic Forestville] changes a cite to the Meighen Store to Historic Forestville.
Section 5 [Sibley Historic Site] adds the Sibley Historic Site to the list of the state’s historic sites.
Section 6 [Washburn Crosby Complex (Mill City Museum)] adds the Washburn Crosby Complex (Mill City Museum) to the list of the state’s historic sites.
Section 7 [Minnesota History Center] changes the name of the State History Center to the Minnesota History Center and fixes its address.
Section 8 [Repealer] removes two sites from the list of the state’s historic cites: the Bourassa’s Fur Post in St. Louis County and the William G. Le Duc House in Dakota County.
