S.F. No. 1872 authorizes Dodge County (“County”) to withdraw from the Southeast Minnesota Multicounty Housing and Redevelopment Authority (“Authority”) by following the procedure outlined in the bill.  The County may withdraw from the authority if the following conditions are met:  1) the County adopts a resolution determining that the services provided by the Authority could be more effectively, efficiently, or economically provided by the County; 2) that a public hearing is held before the resolution is adopted; and 3) the County and the Authority execute an agreement to provide for the payment of outstanding bonds involving any project in the County.  The act is effective the day following final enactment.
