Author: Senator John Marty

Prepared By: Joan White, Senate Counsel (651/296-3814)

Date: March 12, 2013

This bill modifies the parental contribution for TEFRA services.  TEFRA is a federal program for children under the age of 19 who have a disability determination and need a certain level of care to stay at home.  Parents are required to pay a parental fee for services.  The modification in this bill is in paragraph (j), which discontinues the parental fee schedule under this paragraph on June 30, 2013, and reverts back to the fee schedule in paragraph (a).
