Article 1 Miscellaneous Technical changes

Section 1 prohibits an individual from selling flood insurance through the National Flood Insurance program unless the person is licensed as an insurance producer and has satisfied FEMA minimum training and education requirements.

Section 2 updates statutory cross-references related to prohibited practices of staff adjusters.

Section 3 eliminates an obsolete requirement that real estate licenses be physically returned to the Department of Commerce for failure to complete continuing education requirements.

Section 4 increases a real estate license transfer fee from $10 to $20.

Sections 5 to 8 are conforming changes given the repealer in section 9.

Section 8 corrects a statutory cross-reference.

Section 9 repeals licensing requirements for membership camping salespersons and brokers. Also repeals an obsolete rule.

Article 2 updates a number a statutes for required inflation adjustments. Also establishes a process for the Department of Commerce to notify the Revisor of needed certain future adjustments, which will then be incorporated into the statutes.
