This bill allows for an operating rate adjustment, effective October 1, 2011, for a nursing facility if it is located within a quarter mile from a peer group with a higher-limit on the total care-related per diems and operating per diems. Peer groups are county-based designations and are divided into groups one, two, and three.
The operating rate payment of a lower-limit peer group facility must be adjusted as specified in the bill.
