Section 1 [Lake Vermilion-Soudan Underground Mine State Park] renames the existing Lake Vermilion State Park as Lake Vermilion-Soudan Underground Mine State Park to reflect the merger that is accomplished in this bill.
Section 2 [Disposal of tillable land in the Richard J. Dorer Forest] changes the authority for approving exemptions for not disposing of tillable lands to the county board. Under current law, exemptions must be approved by the Legislative-Citizens Commission on Minnesota Resources (LCCMR). This section also makes technical changes and changes the location for deposit of tillable land sales receipts to the natural resources fund.
Sections 3 to 8 [Tax-forfeited land sales; DNR approval] removes Department of Natural Resources (DNR) approval requirements for tax-forfeited land sales managed by counties, including the elimination of the DNR making recommendations to the legislature on riparian land sales.
Section 9 [Lake Vermilion-Soudan Underground Mine State Park; PILT] modifies the special payment in lieu of taxes (PILT) provision for Lake Vermilion and Soudan Underground Mine State Parks to reflect the merger of the two parks.
Section 10 [Greenleaf Lake State Recreation Area; deletion] deletes certain land from the statutory boundary of Greenleaf Lake State Recreation Area.
Section 11 [Snake River State Forest; addition] adds certain land to the statutory boundary of Snake River State Forest.
Section 12 [Private sale of surplus state land bordering public water; Becker County] is a private sale of certain state land to a local unit of government that was requested by the DNR.
Section 13 [Public sale of tax-forfeited land bordering public water; Beltrami County] contains the public sale of certain tax-forfeited land from SF 2473, as amended (Saxhaug).
Section 14 [Private sale of tax-forfeited land bordering public water; Beltrami County] contains the private sale to the DNR of certain tax-forfeited land from SF 2473, as amended (Saxhaug).
Section 15 [Public sale of tax-forfeited land bordering public water; Chisago County] contains the public sale of certain tax-forfeited land from SF 2416 (Nienow).
Section 16 [Private sale of tax-forfeited land bordering public water; Chisago County] contains the private sale to the adjoining landowner of certain tax-forfeited land from SF 2416 (Nienow).
Section 17 [Public sale of tax-forfeited land bordering public water; Crow Wing County] contains the public sale of certain tax-forfeited land from SF 1743 (Ruud).
Section 18 [Conveyance of tax-forfeited land bordering public water; Dakota County] contains the conveyance for no consideration to the City of Rosemount of certain tax-forfeited land for park and trail purposes from SF 1897 (Clausen).
Section 19 [Conveyance of tax-forfeited land bordering public water; Hennepin County] contains the conveyance for no consideration to a governmental subdivision of certain tax-forfeited land for trail purposes from SF 2360 (Dziedzic).
Section 20 [Conveyance of tax-forfeited land bordering public water; Hennepin County] contains the conveyance for no consideration to a governmental subdivision of certain tax-forfeited land for preservation of wetland purposes from SF 2360 (Dziedzic).
Section 21 [Conveyance of tax-forfeited land bordering public water; Hennepin County] contains the conveyance for no consideration to a governmental subdivision of certain tax-forfeited land for preservation of wetland and open water purposes from SF 2360 (Dziedzic).
Section 22 [Private sale of tax-forfeited land; Hennepin County] contains the private sale of certain tax-forfeited land to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service for conservation purposes from SF 2360 (Dziedzic).
Section 23 [Conveyance of tax-forfeited land bordering public water; Isanti County] contains the conveyance for no consideration to the city of Isanti of certain tax-forfeited land for park purposes from SF 2039, as amended (Nienow).
Section 24 [Private sale of tax-forfeited land bordering public water; Itasca County] contains the private sale of certain tax-forfeited land from SF 2473 (Saxhaug).
Section 25 [Private sale of tax-forfeited land; Itasca County] contains the private sale of certain tax-forfeited land from SF 2473 (Saxhaug).
Section 26 [Exchange of state land; Kanabec County] contains the exchange of certain state land, notwithstanding riparian exchange restrictions, that was requested by the DNR.
Section 27 [Public sale of surplus land within Lake Bronson State Park] contains the public sale of certain state land within Lake Bronson State Park that was requested by the DNR.
Section 28 [Private sale of tax-forfeited land; St. Louis County] contains the private sale of certain tax-forfeited land from SF 1874 (Tomassoni).
Section 29 [Public sale of tax-forfeited land bordering public water; St. Louis County] contains the public sale of certain tax-forfeited land from SF1874 (Tomassoni).
Section 30 [Private sale of tax-forfeited land bordering public water; St. Louis County] contains the private sale of certain tax-forfeited land from SF 1874 (Tomassoni).
Section 31 [Lake Vermilion-Soudan Underground Mine State Park merger; St. Louis County] is the merger of the two state parks into Lake Vermilion-Soudan Underground Mine State Park that was requested by the DNR.
Section 32 [Sale of noncompliant tax-forfeited land; Minnesota Point, Duluth] contains the sale of certain tax forfeited land to a single landowner without offering to all adjoining landowners from SF 1874 (Tomassoni).
Sections 33 to 35 [Public sale of tax-forfeited bordering public water; Wadena County] contain the public sale of certain tax-forfeited land from SF 2476 (Gazelka).
Section 36 [Brainerd Dam purchase authorization] contains the authorization for the city of Brainerd to acquire a certain dam from SF 1898 (Ruud).
Section 37 [Revisor’s instructions] instructs the Revisor of the Statutes to:

Combine the legislative history of Lake Vermilion and Soudan Underground Mine state parks to reflect the merger of the two parks; and
-
Recodify a land exchange statute to the chapter that contains other land exchange provisions.
Section 38 [Repealer] repeals the current statutory reference to the Soudan Underground Mine State Park due to the merger of the parks.
