1.3 "Sec. 3. Minnesota Statutes 2022, section 84.0272, is amended by adding a subdivision
1.4to read:
1.5 Subd. 6. Moratorium on land acquisition; inventory. (a) The Department of Natural
1.6Resources may not acquire any land in fee prior to July 1, 2029.
1.7(b) By February 1, 2025, the commissioner of natural resources must submit a complete
1.8inventory of all the lands owned or managed by the Department of Natural Resources
to
1.9the chairs and ranking minority members of the house of representatives and senate
1.10committees and divisions with jurisdiction over environment. The inventory must include
1.11information about the date and source of funding for each acquisition, an explanation
of the
1.12management and use of acquired lands, and a statement of any revenue generated by
acquired
1.13lands."
